Berry Cherry Sweet Bread

Hello, everyone! Thanks for stopping by.  Today's recipe is just going to be a simple sweet bread made from my bread machine!  I stayed away from the bread machine posts for as long as I could, but alas, it always comes back eventually.
Bread is one of my favorite things to make.  I really just adore the smell going through my house as it starts to bake, and I love sitting around the table having a slice of homemade bread with my sons.  Honestly though, I was getting really tired of making loaves that all were relatively the same so I tried to add some pizazz!  This bread is very simple to make, goes well with a glass of milk before dinner, spread with Nutella and a glass or OJ, or toasted and buttered.

Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Hazelnut Frosting

 Hello everyone!
Today's treat is a snickerdoodle cupcake topped with hazelnut frosting!   If you remember my Recipe Round-Up from last week, you'll know that I have been slightly obsessing over snickerdoodles.  I'm not sure why I have been craving them because up until recently, snickerdoodles were my least favorite cookie.  I guess my taste buds are changing.

The thing about these cupcakes is that they are absolutely delicious.  They honestly taste just like the original snickerdoodle cookies, only better because they are cupcakes!  The cupcake is excellent topped with my hazelnut frosting, but they would be just as tasty with a sugar crust, glaze, or even on their own. The only downside to these cupcakes, and it's the same thing with all cupcakes, is the fact that they are not diet friendly.  Each one is 302 calories so self control is a must!  Luckily cupcakes are pretty much designed to promote portion control, at least in my opinion, you just have to remember to eat only one!  Which is pretty hard to do when they taste as yummy as these ones do!

Recipe Round-Up: Snickerdoodle delights!

Hello everyone!
Today's post is just going to be a simple round up of recipes that have inspired for my next baking adventure. I'm not sure why, but I have been craving snickerdoodles for weeks now!  I've been browsing recipes online and was surprised to learn that people have incorporated that signature snickerdoodle taste into more than just cookies!
 ♥
So, basically I'm thinking that I'm going to make snickerdoodle cupcakes, snickerdoodle bread, and the classic snickerdoodle cookies in the upcoming weeks, and hopefully that will satisfy my craving for cinnamon deliciousness!

Cajun Chicken & Pasta

Hi everyone!  Today I am back and sharing a Cajun Chicken and Pasta with you, but first I want to apologize for my absence.  Usually I try to get a post up every Sunday but for some reason I just wasn't feeling it.  My body has just been wrecked lately.  I've been so tired!!  I truly cannot wait for summer break to start so I can bake to my little heart's content AND rest as needed.

I had forgotten it was my night to cook and hadn't prepared anything.  All we had pulled out was some chicken breasts so I worked with what I had.  Which, aside from the chicken, wasn't a whole lot, but we always stay stocked with plenty of veggies and noodles so I came up with something delicious, semi nutritious, and rather low calorie for my dietary needs.  I am on a weight loss journey, which I'll share more with you about at a later date, so I try to eat 6 small 200 calorie meals a day.  This one falls in at 208 calories per one cup serving.  Which is right about where I wanted it, although I could have tried a little harder to make is more healthy.

French Toast Cupcakes with Maple Bacon Frosting

Hello everyone!  Sorry for my absence these past few weeks.  I was going through one of the worst bouts of depression I have ever encountered!  Thankfully I've managed to get my serotonin leveled out again.  I had to adjust my vitamin intake and increase my exercise threefold!
Now that I'm all leveled out, I finally started baking again.  I had some trouble finding inspiration so I went and bought a Taste of Home cupcake magazine with the hopes of finding inspiration.  It worked, but it worked too well!  I want to eat make 85% of the cupcakes featured in the magazine!  Finally I had to pick three finalists and let the boys take it from there.  After about an hour's debate, they decided that they wanted the French Toast Cupcakes!
